Autistic children don't pay attention to other people'world, and it's hard for people to go into their world. The researchers used the impairment of theory of mind to explain three core symptoms of autistic children:the impairments in socialization, communication and repeat stereotyped behavior patterns. Autistic children can't understand other people' thoughts and mental state, their ability of imagination is impaired. It's difficult for them to form a good social relation. "Thought bubbles" technique is that bubbles are presented on the top of the characters'head. The content of bubbles represent characters' thought. Considering the autistic children are widespread speech defect, the "Thought bubbles" technique is used to present false belief task, examining real level of autistic children's theory of mind. The research use "thought bubbles" picture strategy to train autistic children's mind reading ability, and improve their ability of theory of mind.In this study, we took the thought bubbles as an alternative way to present the task, and investigated the theory of mind in the context of reducing the level of cognition and language development in children with autistic. The study select 21 autistic children as experimental group and 30 normal children as control group. This research adopted standard false belief task, thought bubbles familiarization task, thought bubbles as representation task as well as thought bubbles false belief task to investigate the theory of mind of two groups of children. The type of children is the between variables, and the presentation of task is the internal variables. Through the repeated measurement of variance analysis, T test and correlation analysis. Results can be achieved:The score of autistic children was lower than normal children in thought bubbles familiarization task, the difference was not significant; In the thought bubbles as representation task, the score of autistic children was significantly lower than normal children; In all kinds of presentation of the false belief task, the score of autistic children was significantly lower than normal children; The score of autistic children in thought bubbles false belief task was significantly higher than standard false belief task, the score of normal children in thought bubbles false belief task was higher than standard false belief task, but it didn't reach the significant level. The second research adopted "thought bubbles" teaching to train the ability of autistic children's mind reading ability. We selected three autistic children to accept "thought bubbles" teaching intervention. The independent variable was "thought bubbles" teaching, and the dependent variable was the effect of children's theory of mind abilities. "Thought bubbles" teaching intervention included:understanding the concept of thought bubble; understanding different people have different ideas; understanding what one was knowing was that the person was thinking; understanding the false belief. The visual analysis and C statistics showed that:through a period of 2 months of "thought bubbles" teaching and training, theintervention effect of child A, B, and C is remarkable, the ability of three autistic children's mind reading had increased. The teaching method had a good timely effect and effect in maintenance. The conclusion:(1) In all kinds of presentation offalse belief task, autistic children's theory of mind ability was far behind the normal children, showing the defect in the theory of mind.(2)Autistic children and normal children were able to understand thought bubble represented the characters' internal psychological state, and they could use the thought bubble to estimate the unknown.(3) The level of cognition and language development in children with autistic was reduced by using the thought bubbles false belief task. Autistic children's theory of mind ability was objectively measured and improved. The task presented was more suitable for autistic children. While autistic children still showed a certain degree defect of theory of mind.(4) "Thought bubbles" teaching and training, the ability of three autistic children's mind reading had increased. The visual analysis and C statistics showed that the teaching method had a good timely effect and effect in maintenance.Considering the thought bubble was more in line with the autistic children's learning characteristics and needs, "thought bubble" technology could be introduced into the intervention teaching to raise the capacity of autistic children's theory of mind.
