Mental Dictionary is representation of vocabulary in permanent memory, which is also called mental lexicon, the brain word lexicon, internal lexicon, etc.Mental Dictionary exists in the person's mind.In spite of this,we can still use scientific methods to investigate the characteristics of the mental dictionary. The researchers generally use Word Association Tests Method to investigate it.Such as the word "fruit",some people will think about "apple","buy" and so on.These words are from mental dictionary.Everyone's mental dictionary is different.Based on the research of mental dictionary,we can know the state of the learners' language learning, and help learners to master a language better, thus to improve our teaching. Now we know there are two kinds of mental dictionary system:semantic connection and predominantly voice connection.Predominantly voice connections are words that are linked by pronunciation, such as "game" and "comparison".Semantic connection are connected by the meanings of words. The semantic connection also includes the polymerization reaction and the combination reaction.Polymerization refers to the relationship between words that are semantically related, such as "fruit" and "apple." A combinatorial reaction is a collocation between words, such as "fruit" and "eating."In psychological language educational world, the researchers of mother language have a consensus for the native language of the mental lexicon representation model that mother tongue of the mental lexicon extraction model is semantic connection, and the connection is in a dynamic development process. The mental lexicon of second language remains controversial. The main contention is whether both second language and mother language should be given priority to with semantic connection,or a second language and native language is obviously different, predominantly voice connection.Likewise, there are also a lot questions related to this issue worthy to discuss, like what is the representation mode of mental lexicon in Chinese, what will affect Chinese as second language learners' mental lexicon.Based on the theory of psychological dictionaries, this paper tests the mother tongue mental lexicon and the second language mental lexicon of Korean learners. The author uses the method of "the word association tests method",and investigates the representation patterns of their mother tongue and second language mental dictionary. The purpose is to study whether the mental dictionary representation of the two models are the same. And through the study of the patterns of L1 and L2 representation, this paper explores whether L1 has influenced the extraction of L2 mental dictionaries. The results show that the pattern of the mental lexicon is also semantically connected, and the proportion of the combination reaction is higher than that of the polymerization. The representation model of L2 mental dictionaries is the same as that of L1 lexicon, and it is also based on semantic linkage. The difference is that the native language mental lexicon representation mode did not find the phonological response, and the second language mental dictionary representation mode found the phonological response. The author also wants to know the relationship between the mental lexicon and the second language psychological dictionary,so eight subjects were interviewed. The results of the interview show that L2 mental dictionaries have influence on the existence of the second language mental lexicon, and the influence has positive and negative aspects.Chinese language learning can rely on the early help of the mother tongue, but later should try to use Chinese to learn Chinese.Based on the study and interview, the author puts forward some suggestions on the second language vocabulary learning, hoping to provide some enlightenment to the second language teaching.
