| Bi Feiyu has won lots of literary awards since he entered the literary world in the 1990s. In 2011, he won the eighth Mao Dun prize for literature with the novel "Massage". Scholars are interested in his works because of his increasing popularity. The relevant research articles arrange from his early few works to recent ones, which become the focus of literary study. Among Bi Feiyu’s woks, short novels are most abundant in quantity, while short, medium-length and long novels are outstanding. The subjects are mainly concerned with history, countryside and city which are regarded as three important parts of his novels. One of the distinctive features of his novels is sex narration, which always appears in these subjects. From the perspective of this, we can understand what the author wants to express.This thesis is consisted of three parts:preface, body and conclusion. The preface mainly introduces the definition of sex narration, his creating process, sex narration in his novels, current research and the research orientation of this thesis. The body can be divided into two parts:the first part is about the contents of sex narration used in the history, countryside and city subjects.The second part deals with the patterns of Bi Feiyu’s novels, mainly concerned with the narrative language and structure. The conclusion will summarize the narrative characteristics by comparison against the background of sex narration in 1990s. Sex narration in Bi Feiyu’s woks is not only about sex, but about the illustration of the female, especially well-rounded portrayal of characters. The author tries to consider different propositions on history, culture, morality, power, desire, dignity and so on from the point of sex narration, using skillful narrative techniques, exquisite narrative structure, unique narrative language. Besides, he tries to explore the relationship between propositions and sex, shows concern for people according to the expression and consideration. |
