This report is based on a project about English to Chinese Translation of Tourism Texts. The source text mainly introduced the world's top 10 ski resorts and top 10 family ‘Ski In,Ski Out' catered chalets, including location, landscape, accommodation, catering services, facilities, etc. Therefore,I wrote this report on the basis of my translation practice,so as to offer some suggestions in the field of translating English Tourism Texts into Chinese.Tourism text translation has its distinct intentions and functions, aiming at providing potential visitors with attractive information. The first principle of the Skopos Theory is the skopos rule, followed by the coherence rule and the fidelity rule. Therefore in this report, guided by the Skopos Theory, combined with the translation practice during her internship, the author analyses how the target readers influence the translator's subjective initiative in English to Chinese translation. This report mainly states the whole translation process, and the main contents of it are divided into five parts.First, the writer discusses the research background, current status and significance of the project. The second part is the translation project description, including the project source and goals. The third part concentrates on the description of translation process, including pre-translation,translation and post-translation.Then,the fourth part discusses the translation strategies about how to solve the problems of vocabulary and sentence translation of tourist texts, and how to adjust the organization and the structure of the text,as well as the translation style, based on the three principles of the Skopos Theory, combined with case analysis. The final part is the summary and reflection of this report.
