Translation Strategy Of Government Work Report Based On Adaption Theory

The government work report involves politics, economy, culture and people's livelihood etc. and thus serves as one of the most authoritative official announcement.Hence, in the context of globalization, its translation shall have a direct bearing on understanding its policies and development planning for the international society.This is a translation report of 2015 Report on the Government Work of Anqing.The paper explains the text features of government work report and focuses on how to apply the dynamic adaptation strategy in the translation of government work report by analyzing the translation examples in the report on the results of previous studies.The main contents of this translation report are divided into four chapters.Chapter One is the introduction to the whole report. Chapter Two introduces the translation project, including the theoretical basis, description of the source text and the translation process. Chapter Three, the chief part of the whole report, is the case analysis. In this chapter, the language characteristics of the government work report shall be analyzed from lexical, syntactic and discourse levels; and under the guidance of the adaption theory, the dynamic adaption will be applied to solve those problems in the translation process in terms of contextual correlates of adaptability, structural objects of adaptability, dynamics of adaptability and salience of the adaptation process.Chapter Four is the summary of the translation experience and problems to be solved and shortcomings in translation.
