A Philosophical Reflection On The Problem Of Network Ethics

With the development of the technology, the human beings have come to a new society——the internet society, which is based on the internet technology and has the digital sign as its intermediary. The internet has offered a new stage to the development of our society. However, the internet, which is the greatest invention of the human since the 20 th century, seems to be a sword of damocles hanging over the people’s heads. On one hand, the development of the internet brings great advantages to the human beings. For example, the human can view pictures, play videos, read texts, transmission and download all kinds of softwares about chatting,games,and other tools,which brings people colourful lives and convenient working styles. But on the other hand, the development also brings great challenges to the traditional ethics and also brings many network ethics problems. Such as, the hackers, the spread of bad and false information, the infringements of privacy and intellectual property, the teenagers’ indulging in the internet and so on. These problems do prevent the development of the internet.This thesis is aimed at these problem, and based on the research and analgsis of the relevant information, it reveals the network ethics crisis and it gives a deep analysis of the technical sources, the main source and the legal source of the network ethics crisis. Though the discussion of the theoretical basis of constructing the harmonious network ethics(three effectives requirements of speech act,responsibiliay ethics,chinese traditional virtues). I put forward the ethical relawons of the network that should be adjustted(the relationship between people and people in the network, the relationship between human and network technology, the relationship between virtual human and society). At the same time, I also come upwith the basis principles(the principles of combining the mainbody with the social justice, the principles of combining the freedom and close supervision, the principle of combining moral self-disciples and legal restraint) and the concrete measures(strengthen the supervision of the network technology, strengthen the ethical education, improve the awareness of the main users, strengthen government supervision, improve the responsibility of network operators, improve network regulations, strengthen the law enforcement efforts of the network). By doing so, it will make the internet society healthy, civilized, harmonious and continuable. All in all, only guided by the correct ethics views, can the internet society can develop more durably and more healthily.
