| This is a translation report. The translation project consists of six passages of information articles from the website of Huffington Post, Telegraph, Yahoo News and so on. Two of them are from the traveling field, two of them are from the entertainment field, two of them are from the health field.English information articles take a great proportion of information articles from English websites. To translate the great proportion of articles from English websites and disseminate them quickly and accurately is beneficial for Chinese citizens to join in the world culture communication in a more open way.The main body of this report consists of four parts. The first part is a brief introduction to the report, containing the background information and the significance of it. The second part is basically the general analysis of the source text. Thus the overall contents and features of the source text are highlighted here. The third part is of the most crucial importance which emphasizes on the difficulties during translating and the solutions to those difficulties. Here, translation theories, methods and skills are involved and applied. In the fourth part, the lessons gained and problems to be solved are discussed as a conclusion. |
