NHK Documentary Image Of Chinese Women Since The New Century

As the medium of cultural communication,the documentary recording the real life and objective fact has the function of transmitting inescapably its value priorities and ideologies. It seems that the image and the living state of Chinese women are described objectively and fairly in the NHK documentary. However,the descriptions of Chinese women in the NHK documentary are one-sided and the images they described are stiff. NHK pays special attention to China as well as Chinese women to inspect Japan and decide their standpoints with their own standard of value.There are many problems in the creation of the image of Chinese women in the NHK documentary. We can learn from these problems and pay attention to its one-sided and stereotype as well as its flexibility in the use of international communication ideas and imaging media. By analyzing the NHK documentary,we can view Chinese women more rationally and objectively and finally put forward the suggestion and schemes of optimizing the transmission of the image of Chinese women.
