The Final Entry Works Of Mao Dun Literature Awards Study

Mao Dun Literature Awards, which is the highest level literature award in China, is controversial since the first award in 1982.The controversy focus on the award-winning works,some of them lead to arguments as passing fish eyes for pearls. But the some of the entry works win high status in republic of letters and history of literature. The entry works from Mao Dun Literature Awards cause for concern as a kind of particular literature imagination.With respect to the researches on Mao Dun Literature Awards, mostly focus on the exterior and texts of award-winning works, not the entry works. But, the Mao Dun Literature Awards was established with the grow up of new-era literature, the entry work reflects the development of new-era literature. For example, in the first awards, besides?Li Zicheng?, ?Stones in the Wall?are influential, those works could not be overlooked by national awards. The same as ?The Ancient Ship???Take A Shower?,which are in the third awards. It is great pity that ?A Dictionary of Maqiao?and ?Sandalwood Death?did not win the award in fifth and sixth award. This article try to study from the entry works, combine the method of close reading and external literary researches, do overall research on the entry works. By analyzing the reason of failure, put forward the suggestion on improving the award mechanism, hope to make a more completed award mechanism.Chapter One, retrospect and overview on the final entry works, analyzing the failure condition ? evaluation on literature ? creation method and status on literature.Thus, we could conclude the whole outlook and literal value.Chapter Two, analyze the reason why the entry works could not win the awards, including the ideology, tradition of realism creation, existing conception from judges of the Mao Dun Literature Awards. The necessary analyses contribute to find the reason why it become an object of public denunciation.Chapter Three, put forward the suggest on improving the award mechanism effectively by analyzing the reason of lost. Including maintaining the independence of literature awarding, encouraging multiple creation method and optimizing the reward procedure, improvement on principle and procedure.For literature award, it's not only a establishment of honor, but also digging on the literature resources and value. Though the Literature award is effected by various factors, not able to be absolutely fair. It's essential to establish credibility and brand by adjusting and improving the factors which are controllable positively.
