The purpose of this study was to explore the changes and development characteristics of impoverished freshmen's psychological capital after group counseling intervention by psycho-scene-drama, to provide more supplement and perfect for mental health education of impoverished freshmen. The entire study program included using positive psychological capital theory as a guide, using integrated psycho-scene-drama as a carrier of group counseling, integrating Confucian culture in psycho-scene-drama in the latter part of the study, selecting the impoverished freshmen as study subjects in the form of interviews, using statistical methods of psychological scales combined with qualitative research, and so on.This study contained three parts including the experimental experiment, replicable experiment and further research experiments. The study design adopted integrated questionnaire as an evaluation method before and after the test of experimental group, and to compare with the control group. Intervention of psycho-scene-drama group counseling was carried out for experimental group using group counseling program based on the theory of positive psychological capital as well as the results of interviews with subjects. At the same time, the control group was in the normal state of the natural learning. Integrated questionnaire used positive psychological capital questionnaire as a based assessment questionnaire, used General Self-Efficacy Scale, The Hope Scale, Optimism and Pessimism Scale (or Life Orientation Test), The Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescent as supplementary questionnaires. At last, to conduct qualitative research by tracking visits after three or six months of group counseling.The results of this study showed that:(1) Psycho-scene-drama group counseling theory and the operation program according to this theory had the operability and feasibility in impoverished freshmen;(2) The effect of group counseling using psychological capital theory as a guide, using psycho-scene-drama as the carrier, basing on interviews with freshmen to promote the level of impoverished freshmen's psychological capital was remarkable;(3) From the time of the intervention, conducting intervention of psychological capital for college impoverished freshmen in the first semester would get more significant results than the intervention in the second semester. Group counseling can help impoverished freshmen learn new survival skills, by migrating the experience learned in the group to daily life can effectively enhance their psychological capital level and improve their ability to adapt to life;(4) The group counseling program using psycho-scene-drama to promote college impoverished freshmen's psychological capital can be carried out in College in groups of different nature after the improvement due to the time, the location and the subjects.(5) To explore and develop the modern educational value and significance of traditional culture by continued integrating and matching Confucianism with psycho-scene-drama can effectively promote college impoverished freshmen's psychological capital.
