Abstract/Summary:
The water-color is a painting method in which the paints are made of pigments suspended in a water-based solution. Watercolors are usually translucent, and appear luminous because the pigments are laid down in a pure form with few fillers obscuring the pigment colors. Because of its unique characteristics and the convenience of the material, it has attracted more and more attention, in today’s society. In many of the Watercolor painter, Guan Weixing is the outstanding master of watercolor figure painting in China, especially his watercolor figure painting.In this paper, we take Guan Weixing’s watercolor painting art as an example, His styles manifest an innovation of inheritance and breakthrough, with unique artistic individuality. An art style bears the trademark of the artist’s own qualities and traces of self-cultivation. In a certain extent, he even affected the whole development process of watercolor painting art in modern China. He is a role model for me.
