| Altdorfer's landscape paintings are between the Narrative and the Antinarrative. The contract between subject-matter and setting, painting and frame, reality and imagination, constructed the courses of viewing, realizing and representing of nature. The first part of my essay, talking about Altdorfer's live and generation. Then I try to analyze the picture of Narrative and the landscape of Antinarrative. Finally, I study the relationship between the Deutsche and these landscape paintings. The Narrative and Antinarrative in his works can be analyzed by Structuralism. The first independent landscape painting in the history of European art were painted by Albrecht Altdorfer. |
