The second part is divided into five sections: first, reasons for choosing the sample and introduction of sample; second, the narrative analysis of the construction of the image of Chongqing foreign documentary; third, the image of Chongqing constructed by foreign documentary; fourth,, what is the image of Chongqing which is self-shaped; fifth, "self-shaping" VS "shaped"; The third part is about studying discourse bias analysis of the image construction of Chongqing in the foreign documentary with Fairclough's critical discourse analysis, mainly from the following three aspects:first, the text analysis(mainly analyze discourse bias in documentary language strategy); second, analysis of discourse practice(how to produce discourse bias in the process of production and understanding of social practice);third, the social practice analysis(analyze the factors causing discourse bias, such us social structure, economy, ideology, power relations, values and so on). The fourth part is the summary, mainly including the summary of the analysis of the discourse bias, the author suggests and the article flaw. The article reveals that there are more or less discourse bias in the image shaped in cross cultural communication. Therefore, if Chongqing or other cities in China want to change one-way sound situation in the city image construction, they must speak out to improve their own image. This article mainly analyzes the manifestations and causes of discourse bias in the three foreign documentaries, and draws the following conclusions: first, the discourse bias is reflected through five strategies: 1 over-embellishment to highlight and emphasize the gap between the haves and have-nots; 2doer-government against passive people-civilians within the power framework;3 emphasize negative information and minimize positive information. Second, the discourse bias is mainly affected by the media function, the value orientation of news in the production process, and it mainly depends on the audience cognition affected by “Pseudo Environment" in the process of understanding. Third, the right of discourse with support from the Western hard power and Western political ideology is the social causes of discourse bias.In the "City Times" today, a good image of city is conducive to revitalize the city's tangible and intangible assets, to accelerate the development of the regional economy and society, to improve the competitiveness of the country. In the process of intercultural communication, it is inevitable that there are misunderstandings and bias between different cultures. Therefore studies on the bias of city image constructed by foreigner help Chinese city speak out and improve their image in a effective way. At the same time, this article draws some experience and enlightenment to improve the ability of shaping and propaganda of city image, so as to construct national image in a better way.
