Written language vocabulary is an important content of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Written language vocabulary of advanced textbooks in Chinese classroom teaching has a very important role and status. A targeted research written language vocabulary of textbooks helps to improve the quality of the teacher teaching written language vocabulary and to improve the efficiency of Chinese learners' learning. And it reduces barriers in using Chinese in international communication. Therefore, this study choose two more representative textbooks that Advanced Reading Course II and Advanced Writing Course II of the Developing Chinese series as investigation object and analyzed written language vocabulary of them. Written language vocabulary can be divided into three categories: written words, ordinary written words, idioms and parts of four word phrases. First of all, count written language vocabulary of two textbooks: written words are least, ordinary written words are most, and the number of written language vocabulary in Reading II is three times of Writing II. Secondly, this study analyzes the distribution of written language vocabulary in two textbooks, puts forward the four principles of textbook selection written words: target principle, pertinence principle, practicality principle and style principle. Finally, the comprehensive analysis of two textbooks compilation of written language vocabulary, put forward four compilation principles that comprehensive and normative, right amount, supporting, and in view of the written language vocabulary teaching, respectively, and put forward its own proposals.
