The interpreting report is based on one episode of an online course series named The Paths to Success in English Language Teaching. This course has been put online on November 6, 2015, which has been sponsored by the US Department of State and the University of Oregon. This course is aimed at English as Foreign Language(EFL) teachers, those who intend to pursue this field as a career and those already working in the field who would like to revise and refresh their methods and approaches. The course explores important aspects of teaching English as a second or foreign language.The video is of master teachers in real classes around the world, and they show that how the various materials and approaches presented lead to better language learning, providing a look into the international community of EFL teachers. The audience are the middle school students in the tutorial school.This report is based on the skopos theory. The author briefly introduces the detailed preparation work, including the background of this project, the specification of this course and the significance of this project. By recording the progress of interpreting, the author describes the difficulties and mistakes during the work. Based on the mistakes and problems, the author analyzes the causes, and illustrates the related solutions. A serial of translation strategies have been drawn in the progress. Besides, the enlightenment and self-assessment of the author is recorded as well.
