A Report On The Translation Of The Reading Notes Of Curt Research On The Successful Candidates Of Hui In Ming And Qing Dynasties

Curt Research on the Successful Candidates of Hui in Ming and Qing Dynasties was a translation task commissioned by Shanghai Fanfei Cultural Communication co., ltd. The Curt Research mainly includes the sources, methods and results, characteristics and value of the research on the successful candidates of Hui in Ming and Qing Dynasties. This notes aimed to help the Hui people to understand the Hui nationality culture, especially the successful candidates of Hui in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Guided by and based on Skopos Theory and its three principles, the author put forward several translation strategies for this translation project with case analysis. The author deeply felt the importance of translation practice during the translation project. Many factors influencing the translation results could be included during the translation practice. First of all, the appropriate translation techniques are necessary, including filling method, combination, division and lexical category conversion; secondly, English writing skills are very important, directly influencing the translation level. At the same time, the Chinese foundation is also very important. It is not easy to process the sense and structure of the proverbs, idioms and rhetoric devices; finally, the translation practice need a variety of skills, such as understanding, investigation, analysis, the expression and so on.
