Imperial examination system of the Tang Dynasty was an official selection of the basic examination system of the country. It had a great influence on the political, economic and cultural in this period. Passing the imperial examination, Scholars received an official qualification, and played a role in all aspects of society after being official through the official system.The highest imperial examination gradually became to the most important subjects of the examination. This paper attempted to discuss the outlet of the successful candidates and the relationship between politics to reveal their impact on the fate of the Tang Dynasty.This article was divided into introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction reviewed the previous academic research about the imperial examination of Tang, and introduced the focus of article writing and Value topics. Compared with the Tang Dynasty, which was in the initial stage of development, Academics studied the imperial examination of Song, Ming and Qing more in depth. This article will use the history, political science and statistical to analyze the outlet for the successful candidates of Tang, in order to clearly demonstrated the relationship with the destiny of Tang.The body is divided into five chapters, which analyses the different outlet of the successful candidates in Tang Dynasty. The first chapter discusses that the successful candidates secure an official position through the election of Li Bu; The second chapter discusses that the successful candidates access to rapid promotion through official recommendation; The third chapter discusses that the successful candidates access to rapid promotion through subjects examination; The fourth chapter discusses that the successful candidates became officials of the Central Government through recommended by Mu Fu; The fifth chapter discusses that the successful candidates had an elevation in the proportion of senior officials. In the Tang Dynasty, securing an official position through the election of Li Bu was the most common way for the successful candidates. Later, because of contradictions between the number of the candidates and officer vacancy, Tang Dynasty delegated official according to qualifications. But it caused a lack of talent, so Tang Dynasty held official recommendation and subject examination to select talented person. After An-Shih Rebellion, recommended by Mu Fu was another important way to be official for the successful candidates.The conclusion points out that through the outlet which mentioned in the above, more and more successful candidates became officials. And the proportion was larger and larger in the senior officials. And they had a significant impact to the political and social of Tang.
