The Investigation Of The Hui Dialect In The Northeast Of Gan From The Perspective Of Geography Linguistics

This paper aims to study the Hui dialect in the northeast of Gan from the perspective of geographical linguistics, to display all the features in terms of its pronunciation, vocabularies and grammar as well. The Hui linguistic geographic pattern in the northeast of Gan emerges with various inner causes, meanwhile, the critical effect from surrounding dialects can not be ignored. We selected 13 sites from the northeast of Gan, which are all the places that speak Hui dialect, simultaneously, enlarged the research view and compared Hui dialect in the northeast of Gan with 8 sites nearby.The pronunciation, vocabularies and grammar of this paper are all cited from one National Social Science Foundation Project named the current situation of Hui dialect and historical research in Jiangxi province from the perspective of geography linguistics, which belongs to professor Hu Songbai. After compared with all available sites, we picked out 21 of them that can typically show the geography distribution characteristics, including pronunciation, vocabularies, grammar and other 51 language items, etc. A dialect map was drawn for each one project, in which some distinguishing symbols were adopted to mark the dialect sites according to the features of pronunciation, vocabularies and grammar. Studying these representation from the distribution of geography space, in addition, describing and comparing the situation of Hui dialect in the northeast of Gan with surrounding sites is to show the relationship and dividing lines between the Hui dialect in the northeast of Gan and Gan dialect and Wu dialect as well, in the meantime, to show the origins relationship between Hui dialect in the northeast of Gan and south of Wan, besides, the inner difference of them. Through displaying the evolution and development of Hui dialect in the northeast of Gan, we can broad and stretch deeper historical research about Hui dialect.
