| In recent years, with the development of science, lots of motion detecting technology being invented. New devices based on these technology were fathered, for example Virtual reality, multi-media technology and wearable devices. Researches always full of passion exploring in this field. And as a result, more and more interactive methods being worked out. The communication between human and computer becomes different, variety of information need to be exchanged. Thus, the limitation of mouse and keyboard interaction method exposed.Human-computer interaction used to be solid and cold, however, the new technologies mentioned above change it into a soft way, and with humanity concern. And it becomes more aligned with human social pattern. Let user complete the interactive tasks in a comfort and natural way. From an other point, communicate with computer by using mouse, keyboard and touch screen partly constrained user’s hand. On the contrary, gesture based interaction method using Leap Motion freedom user’s hand from this condition. This project is aim to help London College of Fashion enhance their end of year shows with interactive exhibits technology. After a detailed analyses author found that major part of art exhibition have the common problems. First of all, the art exhibition contains large amount of information and it is difficult to deal with. Besides, in the process of watch the show visitor’s participation is generally low. Generally they are accept the information passively. Since the quality of art education is improved and the economic growth rapidly, art exhibition is in a great demand. The method which used as exhibit assistant like audio museum guide, interaction browsing station and experience space are always lack of new idea. How to arise audience’s enthusiasm about getting information, assisting them of managing the great deal of collections information is the problem exploring in this paper. According to the requirements from the project sponsor and the needs dig from the audience, designer designed a gesture based interactive system. And the system will be evaluated in the exhibition hold on July 2015. Meanwhile, the usability and user satisfaction of the prototype will be tested with the method of questionnaire, user observation and user interview. |
