Research Of Lu Tung-pin’s Thought Of Inner Alchemy In The Tao Te Ching

The Tao Te Ching is one of the important classics of the early Taoism, the research did by the domestic and foreign scholars that is very rich and fruitful. The topic of this paper, based on the basis of existing research results, start from the research of Lu Tung-pin’s thought of inner alchemy in the Tao Te Ching to further thinking and deepen, and thus constitute the existing pattern and content.This paper text interpretation, combined with rational thought, absorbed the existing research results, and elaborated analysis, this article analysis can be constructed from the following aspects, to the thought of inner alchemy contained in the Tao Te Ching of Lu Tung-pin, combined with the Taoist inner alchemy and carried on the preliminary and detailed discussion.In this paper, for the first part of the introduction, this article introduces the research background, the significance of the study and research methods, and mainly elaborates the selected topic reason, the research status at home and abroad, as well as the thoughts of Taoism inner alchemy source and basic construction.In the second part, starting from the academic background of the Taoism inner alchemy involved in the research of Lu Tung-pin’s thought of inner alchemy in the Tao Te Ching, this paper analyses their inner link. This part is divided into two aspects to discuss: on the one hand, from the perspective of the thinking framework that "Tao produces matters" to analyses the inner alchemy in the Tao Te Ching of Lu Tung-pin. On the other hand, the paper will declare the basic theory of the ontology in the Tao Te Ching of Lu Tung-pin.The third part will make deeply analyses of the connotation in the Tao Te Ching of Lu Tung-pin on the basis of the second part. This part will be divided into three aspects to study: in the first place,this paper analysis the three essential elements of the Taoist making pills of immortality in the Tao Te Ching of Lu Tung-pin from the Taoist inner alchemy’s basic theory of the medicine, the furnaces and crucibles, and the level of attainment. Secondly, this article illustrate the method of the Taoist making pills of immortality based on the content of the Eight Diagrams and the five elements(metal, wood, water, fire and earth, held by the ancients to compose the physical universe and later used in traditional Chinese medicine to explain various physiological and pathological phenomena). And finally, this article will make a composite analysis of the basic procedures in the Tao Te Ching of Lu Tung-pin from the four steps of the Taoist making pills of immortality.The fourth section will discuss the modern value of the inner alchemy on the basis of the above comprehensive discussion.
