Research On Subjective Well-being And Its Relative Factors Of Suicide Survivors In The Rural China

Objective: To explore the subjective well-being and correlative factors of rural suicide survivors,By comparative study find out the difference of subjective well-being among suicide survivors,accident survivors and disease survivors,And provide a scientific evidence of the psychological intervention for the suicide survivors in rural.Method: With one-to-one face-to-face semi-structured psychological interviews,a questionnaire survey was conducted among the 465 bereaved in eight sample villages from a county-level of Liao Ning province by general social demographic questionnaire,Chinese Happiness Inventory(SCHI),Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation-Chinese Version(BSI-CV),The Impact of Event Scale-R(IES-R),Paykel’s Interview for Recent Life Events(IRLE),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),and NEO-Five-Factor Inventory(NEO-FFI),Coping Styles Questionnaire(CSQ)and Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS).Data sorting,analysis and processing with SPSS20.0.Result:(1)The total score of SCHI of suicide survivors are lower than accident survivors’ and disease survivors’,Significant differences in live better than others factor(F=4.083,p<0.05).(2)For rural suicide survivors,significant gender difference in the optimistic factor(t = 3.167,p < 0.01),significant marital status difference in the total score(t = 5.589,p < 0.001),and each factor score of SCHI.significant education level difference in social commitment(F=3.680,p<0.05)and optimistic factors(F=4.845,p<0.01).significant relative categories difference in the optimistic,social commitment,positive emotion,mastery,healthy body,self-gratification,lotte life factors and total score of SCHI(F=7.585,p<0.001).significant bereavement time difference in the sense of control factor(F=3.500,p<0.01).significant family economy difference in the positive emotion,healthy body,optimistic,self-gratification,rice-producing country,live better than others factors and total score of SCHI(F=6.193,p<0.01).(3)There is significant difference between suicide survivors with suicidal ideation and without in optimistic,positive emotion,rice-producing,healthy body,self-gratification,live better than others factors and total score of SCHI(t=4.272,p<0.001).(4)The subjective well-being multivariate regression of rural suicide survivors has significant statistical significance(F = 42.278,p < 0.001),the goodness of fit is 0.658,the adjusted R2 is 0.642,and according to the standardized Beta,from big to small in turn is nervous,fantasy,agreeableness,problem solving,health,marital status,retreat,suicide events,remorse,family support,and loss of time.(5)The mediation effect of subjective well-being of rural suicide survivors shows nervous mediation role of total effect ratio is 68.4%.Conclusion:(1)The subjective well-being of rural suicide survivors lower than accident survivors’ and disease survivors’.(2)The factor of in the live worse than others is the major factor of the subjective well-being of rural suicide survivors.And higher education degree,better family economic,“fantasy”,good family support and married are protection factors of experiencing happiness for suicide survivors in rural.(3)The mediating effect shows that the suicide not only has a direct impact on happiness of rural suicide survivors,but also has indirect impact on happiness through the neurotic traits of suicide survivors.(4)Psychologic intervention of the subjective well-being of rural bereavement is suggested:set up professional psychological intervention group for bereavement;attaches great importance to the meaning of life education;strengthen rural residents’ life security.
