China entered the aging society and pension issues have become increasingly prominent. Traditional model of supporting the old that solely rely on the family is no longer adapt to the social development trend and the increasing multilevel demand of the elderly, We haven been gradually on a way of socialization, marketization and industrialization. However, there still exists many problems in the process of exploration and practice. First of all, the duty of pension system has been transformed, but not that effective, although society has already shouldered part of the responsibility, the family is still mainly responsible for the activities of the pension, not only to guarantee the old people's basic necessities of life, but to take care of old people's life after busy work, which is a heavy burden for the family; secondly, the system of service for the elderly has been set up in our country, but not so perfect, social pension services should obey the principle of people-oriented, at the same time involve all aspects of pension services. However, in the current situation, unbalanced conditions exist in all aspects of China's pension services including regional, goods and materials, personals and so on, especially the shortage of service talents, which is of no benefit of the overall development of China's pension service; in addition, the attention we have paid to the pension service has increased, but it is not comprehensive enough, superb gerocomium has been built up, the fully-functional activity center has been built up, annuity and some other social security benefits have been given out timely and fully under the supervision of the public, but attentions have been paid more in the aspect of material supporting without going deep into the life of the elderly and in that way truly understanding their lives and mental status.Facing the problems existing in the process of social pension, we find that the traditional filial piety culture still plays an irreplaceable role in the current social pension model in China. The development of productivity and the mode of production change, making the factors that are not consistent with the era gradually abandoned while the essence of filial piety culture can be preserved, and is continuously endowed with new connotation with the progress of the society. To treat the traditional culture of filial piety, we should abandon the draffy tradition and inherit the good parts. In the era of innovation, filial piety culture with practical meanings and conforming to the current development of the society, should be carried forward. Filial piety culture should be blended in the daily life, to solve the new problems producing in the process of the development. And for the filial piety culture itself, in the process of serving the practice of pension for the elderly, its theory will certainly be improved and innovated, with more abundant connotation, closer to the time of the service to our country pension business.
