Xavier Dolan was born in 1989 in Quebec, Canada. When he was nineteen-year-old he produced the movie "I killed my mother" and got an award in Cannes Film Festival. Then he produced "fantasy of love" (2010), "Laurence Anyways "(2012)," Tom farm Trek "(2013) and other works, won several nominations or awards in international film festivals. The reason that Dolan's success is he not only has its own very strong personal style of visual language, and express the content and ideas different with traditions.This article will give a detailed introduction to Xavier Dolan's life experience and works, and summarize the photogenic of Dolan's films systematically, sum up his visual style and language features. Imitation and depth conversion Dolan film composition strategies; narrative art intervention; concrete imagination; the soundtrack and images of MTV and frame aspect ratio change. At the same time, the article will also discuss Dolan movies' inheritance and development of new queer cinema and queer films in details. in this way the positioning Dolan and his work in the history of queer cinema could be found, and focus on the new queer cinema of its analysis.Furthermore, in this article the fashion in Xavier Dolan movie fashion will be analyzed and discussed.
