The Literature Research Of Qing Yi Lu

As a sketchbook, Qing Yi Lu(《清异录》》was approximately composed in the early years of Northern Song Dynasty. It gathered an amount of prevalent neologisms in Tang and Five Dynasties. Taogu(陶榖),the writer of this book,had put all these neologisms into 37different categories,and explained the source of narration after every neologism. It contains astronomy and geography, animal, medicine, clothing, food and so on, which is of great reference value in studying the literary anecdotes and people’s living customs from the end of Tang to the beginning of Song. In view of the shortcomings in the present study, this thesis conducts a research on Qing Yi Lu(《清异录》)based on a documentary analysis, which is divided into two big parts (the top and bottom section).Part One, consisting of three chapters, is mainly about the spread of Qing Yi Lu(《清异录》j,and the inspection of its writer and value. In particular, chapter I inspects the book’s spread from Song and Qing Dynasty. According to the historical investigations in the bibliographic description and the materials quoted in other books, we can find that the book has already been spread in Northern and Southern Song Dynasties. To research the book’s spread is to figure out its acceptance history. We can also conclude that the climax stage in the acceptance history is Ming Dynasty. Chapter II engages in the research of the book’s writer Taogu(陶谷),consisting of the study on his birthplace and offsprings, through which we can correct mistakes in History of Song Dynasty. Chapter Ⅲ discusses the book’s value. This part mainly expands in three aspects consisting of historiography, literature and Thingology.Part Two is the annotation of Qing Yi Lu(《清异录》).It contains research on emendation, exegesis and allusion. Through the annotation, we expect a further study on the book.
