Research On Alternative Words Of Gap Filling In New HSK Level Six

In order to spread Chinese boarder in the world, The Confucius Institute Headquarters launched New HSK Exam in November 2009,which was based on “The Chinese language proficiency standards” and Communicative competence of linguistics. New HSK pays more attention to check the Chinese practical application ability of students and use words as the standard.The time of New HSK exam is not long, there are not many theses on test questions,especially for alternative words of gap filling in New HSK level six exam.We select 20 sets of new HSK level six test paper and calculate out 2734 alternative words of gap filling.We will research alternative words from three aspects. Firstly, we query alternative words frequency according to "The modern Chinese vocabulary table" and determine whether or not they are modern Chinese vocabulary. Secondly, we classify high frequency words according to “ the classification of modern Chinese dictionary” and check whether the alternative words material widely, comprehensive. Lastly, we match the examination outline of alternative words and vocabulary to get words beyond the vocabulary, then research on words beyond the vocabulary.Through analyzing the three aspects of statistics and research,we hope get some advices to vacabulary teaching and revision of the "new outline of HSK vocabulary".
