"Than" words is a common sentence pattern in modern Chinese, it has drawing Chinese researchers' attention, many grammarians and scholars had analyzed "than" words from syntactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects. In the TCSL area, "than" word is also a hot spot, "than" is listed as one of the important grammar in words most primary stage Chinese teaching materials. For the primary stage Madagascar Chinese learners, "than" words one big problem. since they haven't learned Chinese for long time,their vocabulary and the rules“than”words of syntactic, semantic and pragmatic is limited, they are also vulnerable to negative transfer of their mother tongue and other languages they use, so they use "than" sentences, variety of errors appear. Some students in the did not pay enough attention to grasp the "than" sentence in their early stage learning,that is the leading reason for the serious errors they make in their "than" usage in advanced stage. So it is necessary to discover and research errors Madagascar students make when they are learning "than" Sentence, to provide some help for the development of TCSL.Through the investigation, test, students' daily talk and text of their homework,we collected lots of error materials.based on the summarizing of predecessors' research of "than" sentence,I sorted out and classified the Errors of beginning, intermediate stage Madagascar Students in Learning Chinese "than" Sentence. Through comparing items form aspects like conclusions bias items,comparison marked bias items, and Negative bias and other sorts of errors that appear in Madagascar students' "than" Acquisition. At the same time by comparing and quantitative research methods,analyze and summarize the reasons for all these errors with nine major "than" Word Sentence Cases: the negative transfer of students' mother tongue and first foreign language, the complexity of the target language, teachers' way of teaching,teaching materials and students 'learning methods.This thesis includes six chapters: the first one is the introduction, mainly introduces the research background and significance, research methods, data sources and selection; the second part mainly introduces the errors of the theoretical foundation and the Chinese "than" sentence research status, including "than" sentence syntactic, semantic and pragmatic ontology level research status and related teaching research; the third part is "than" sentence analysis. The fourth part is Madagascarstudents "than" sentence type of analysis; the fifth part is the Malaysian students Chinese "than" sentence reason analysis. The sixth part provides some suggestions in two aspects: teaching materials, teachers and attached a teaching design of“than”sentence which aims to help teach.
