An Interpreting Report On Installation Of German Nuclear Power Equipment

Nuclear power is an advanced new energy technology in the world. It has not reached the popularity level in Europe and other developed countries, so it is a new challenge for China and difficult to achieve. The staffs who work in the nuclear power industry have not reached the level of developed countries on the overall quality and professional knowledge. They are still in exploration. The guidance of the interpreter in the nuclear power field is also insufficient. In addition, there are obstacles for the interpreter because of the mode of thinking in nuclear power industry. The purpose of this practice report is to promote the interpreting development of nuclear power engineering. This report illustrates the correct selection of the translation strategies and translation methods by examples.This practice is divided into three parts, the equipment site installation, commissioning and operation training. This practice report focuses on the engineering characteristics of interpretation and standard in the installation process. Through the analysis of the difficulties, the author summarizes the quality which the engineering interpreters should have. The report puts forward the corresponding solutions after describing the problems in the process of interpreting. It also describes the author's experience and aims at improvement in the future by summing up experience. The author also hopes to arouse social attention for the training of engineering interpreter.Experience summary method is used in this practice report. According to the practice of this practical activity and experience of previous studies, the report analyzes the engineering interpreting skills and rules, see the essence through the phenomenon, and then improve the interpreting research condition rationally. The author overcomes the difficulties, namely the lacking of engineering knowledge, and seeks assistance from machinery industry professionals and English senior experts. The author combines the advice and the actual situation, and samples quite a number of typical sample sentences to carry out a full case analysis.After the end of the interpreting, with consultation and investigation, the author puts forward corresponding strategies, and hopes to cope with similar problems in future work, and to provide worthy experience for later engineering interpreters.
