The Estimates And Decision-making Of The American On Israel's Nuclear Problem (1958—1974)

As the issue of prohibiting nuclear proliferation, the United States often be criticized because of their "double standard" , one of the best example of this was the United States policy towards the Israel's nuclear problem. Study their police , not only help us to further understand the U.S. nuclear policy , it also help us grasp the essence of the US-Israeli relations; Because this question involves some other Middle East issues, and have a tremendous impact on the peace process of the Middle East, Therefore, study it also has great practical significance. This article hopes to re-interpret the United States policy on Israel's nuclear problem, grasp the American's real motivation, clarify the evolution of U.S. nuclear policy in this question and analyses their impaction.Based on the original documents, and making use of multi-subject knowledge on history, International Politics and Journalism, this dissertation researches American police on Israel's nuclear problem.This dissertation is composed of five sections. The first section is the introduction, which describes the present situation of the academic research about this problem, Furthermore, the academic value, theoretic and realistic roles of the study are introduced in this section.The main body of this dissertation is the second section to the forth section, which firstly discusses how the American estimates on Israel's nuclear problem, not only talk about the mistake of their estimates, but also discuss their re-evaluation of the development of nuclear weapons on Israel. The third part discusses the evolution of the U.S. policy on this question; and finally we will discuss what their impact on.The last part of this dissertation is the conclusion, mainly talk about how to prevent today's nuclear proliferation.
