Industrial City Landscape-My Graduation Creation

The emergence of city is the inevitable outcome of social development. Human beings transform the original nature environment according to the requirements of their own. they change the view of landscape oil painting from traditional rural landscape to industrial urban landscape, complies with the trend of our times. It has gradually become an important extension and inevitable trend of oil painting development. Although urban landscape oil painting appeared earlier in art history,going with social development process, it has developed as a subject. Nobody defines urban landscape oil painting specifically. However, in the endless flow of art development, urban landscape oil painting is sending out its unique charm with its fresh vitality.The topic of thesis is coming from creation and practice. The author thinks that the purpose of creation is to show the beauty of life, as the most vivid artistic beauty is life itself. Based on the research of industrial urban landscape, the analysis of historical development evolution, combined with the industrial development of city the author lives in, the thesis is a product revealing organic combination of personal aesthetic and living environment, along with full research. The main content of thesis divides into three parts. Firstly, it comes with the introduction of the concept and development of urban landscape oil painting, giving readers its preliminary understanding. Secondly, it comes with the cities the author has painted during graduation creation period, giving readers a preliminary understanding of humanities landscape. Last but not least, it comes with personal graduation creation, stating problems I have met during the conception. The study of urban landscape as a separate project is an extension of landscape oil painting. Based on urban landscape, it faces the current social environment and living environment. With the selection,reconstruction and combination of urban landscape, it shows the huge impact of city transformation to human beings, which makes the urban landscape oil painting get more times connotation and stronger spirit inspirational force, compared with normal landscape oil painting.
