The textbook plays a very import role in learning and teaching,so rationality and scientificity of textbook compilation can greatly impact effectiveness of learning and teaching.Accordingly,textbook compilation has been paid attention and studied,and the number of textbook for teaching Chinese as a second language is considerable.In fact,textbook compilation is affected by many factors,such as teaching theories and overall design;however,students’ cognitive process,language principles and language learning principles are also important factors regarding textbook compilation,especially grammar compilation.This paper focuses on comparison study of "you" in textbooks for teaching Chinese as a second language between Chinese mainland and Taiwan,and explores compilation features of the two kinds of textbook.Two typical textbooks,which are Chinese Tutorial and Far East Everyday Chinese,are chosen to make an analysis.The paper consists of five parts:the first part illustrates the research results of "you"to provide theoretical supports and reference for the rest parts;the second part compares and analyzes differences and similarities of the two kinds of textbooks in compilation by multiple data related to sentences containing "you".It is found that compilation of the two kinds of textbook keeps consistent regarding categories of sentences containing"you",which is decided by the sentences own features and natural language used in the textbooks.The third part compares scientificity and rationality of the textbooks in sub-classes of sentences containing "you" by description and data analysis.In terms of sentence structures of the sub-classes,the two kinds of textbook do not interpret too much about them and most of "you" structure are not explained in grammar.Compared with Chinese Tutorial,Far East Everyday Chinese is more suitable for learners who study Chinese as a second language considering character order of sentences containing"you".The fourth part directly presents the reoccurrence of sub-classes of sentences containing "you" in the textbooks by line chart.It can be found that the line fluctuates in reoccurrence of "you" in the sentences compiled in Chinese Tutorial,while,the sentences containing "you" compiled in Far East Everyday Chinese almost keep certain reoccurrence at every learning stage.The fifth part summarizes the compilation features of the two kinds of textbook on the base of former four parts.In terms of compilation characteristic,Chinese Tutorial observes tradition and classic grammar explanation mode,so grammar illustration of sentences containing "you" is quite prudent and scientific;Far East Everyday Chinese weakens grammar explanation,chooses amount of language materials from daily life and designs innovative practice modes,paying more attention to practice. |
