Calligraphy education from west week has been in the continuation of the development, to Tang Dynasty calligraphy in the number of students, teaching practice, teaching scale, and reached to its peak; and the development of contemporary higher education of calligraphy can be said to following the development of calligraphy education in Tang Dynasty and a peak period.Along with the society has gradually paid more attention on the art of calligraphy, the colleges has gradually opened calligraphy professional recruitment and training work. At present, in our country there are 115 colleges and universities opened calligraphy of undergraduate enrollment and training, which has nearly 20 colleges and universities opened calligraphy, enrollment and training. The higher education of calligraphy has been basically formed from undergraduate, master's and doctoral teaching system, located into Teachers College, comprehensive and Art University.The professional calligraphy opened not only training a large number of skilled in calligraphy for social, good at calligraphy talents of calligraphy theory, also to the inheritance and development of the art of calligraphy laid the solid foundation.However, Careful observation of the Tang Dynasty calligraphy education, need "back to ancient" and "innovate" parallel development,the calligraphy professional student enrollment, the specific teaching process and evaluation system has a specific setting and arrangement. The higher education of calligraphy, though seemingly prosperity but existence subtle issues, including enrollment system tendency; calligraphy teaching curriculum system is not perfect; teaching outline is not unified, not clearly; teaching process in their own; university teachers lack of teacher's quality is uneven. In the face of these problems, many calligraphy professionals have been proposed different solutions.Among them, by Mr. Xiang bin edited< Chinese Ancient Calligraphy Education Research>, by Mr. Jia Fei edited <Chinese ancient examination and school education>, and published in< Neijiang Teachers College Journal>< on Calligraphy Education in normal colleges and universities the dilemma and the outlet>, Zhang aiguo published< China Academy of fine arts calligraphy professional undergraduate teaching ideas and features of> and so on are put forward corresponding countermeasures.So we in the process of the development of things not only to see the future prospects of the development of things, should carefully summaries to the historical experience of the previous; calligraphy education is concerned, we should carefully analyze the process of Tang Dynasty calligraphy education development prosperous reason, teaching system and curriculum construction, draw lessons from ancient, in contrast to find the existing problems to the reason, to find improve the way of contemporary higher education of calligraphy, to the ancient "to seek a reasonable way of higher education of calligraphy long-term development.
