Research On The Motion Design In The Information Graphics

Living in an era of information explosion, people are faced with numerous and complicate information all the time, while information graphics, as an efficient medium of information spreading, is extensively applied into all fields of the society. In the spreading process of information graphics based on computer and network technology, its visual language develops to be increasingly rich from the initial words, graphics and images. The visual language of information graphics begins to expand from two dimension to multiple dimension, and generates more diversified patterns of manifestation such as motion effect, anime and video. Since motion effect is well-suited to the information transmission in man-machine interaction, the motion effect in interface design has drawn the attention of more and more people.This paper firstly views the appearance and development of motion effect from the development of computer interface, analyzes its technical feature and time characteristic, and illustrates that motion effect is a kind of new expression form of visual language developed on the basis of information graphics, and a new extension of information transmission in information graphics. Next, this paper analyzes the model and element of information transmission of motion design, the cognitive characteristic of information in motion effect, the expression form of information and motion effect as well as the information type and classification of motion effect with the theoretical framework of information graphics. After analyzing in theoretical level, it discusses and studies the method of motion design from design process, demand analysis, basic approach and expression output, and then concludes and summaries that motion effect should abide by natural, readable, moderate and emotional principles in the process of design by combining with lots of applications of motion effect in interface design. The last part of this paper demonstrates the design method of motion effect and design principle by combining with personal practice cases, and discusses motion design’s ability of clear and efficient transmission of information in information graphics and enormous role in promoting user experience.
