Study On College Students’ Political Trust:the Psychological Structure And Characteristics

As the psychological basis of all cooperation activities,trust is an eternal topic.Political trust as a political psychology, is a state of mind which people believe in,expect and dependence on the political system.In recent years, due to the promotion of theory and practice, political trust has become a hot research in various disciplines.College students are a special group to our country and society,their political trust status directly affects the stability and development of the society.This study contains three parts,it combines theoretical research and empirical research, qualitative and quantitative research in order to explore the psychological structure and the features of college students’ political trust,provide theoretical support for the education of political trust.First of all,qualitative research of college students’ political trust.In this study,we interview 24 college students with semi-structured,using content analysis and grounded theory methods,formed a structural dimension of political trust.Then, compiling the questionnaire of college students’ political trust.On the basis of qualitative research findings compiling the questionnaire,and using SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 17.0 to explore the structure. Finally, analyze the characteristics of college students’ political trust.Using the survey data to analyze the characteristics and key elements of college students’ political trust.Conclusions are as follows:First, qualitative research results show that college students’ political trust is a multi-dimensional mental structure,which including identity, sense of connection,confidence,sense of security performance, capacity, style and philosophy 8dimensions.Second, the political trust questionnaire of college students contains six dimensions,there are confidence, sense of connection, sense of security, style,performance and competence.Reliability and validity of the questionnaire in line withstatistical criteria, construct validity and content validity is good,and reliability coefficient is 0.905.Third, the average level of college students’ political trust is low(M = 3.22), scoring nearly 3(3 = uncertain), indicating that college students’ political trust judgment is vague,and to some tend to trust degree.Fourth, college students’ who have different profession and political landscape are have different political trust.Gender, grade, and the family seat of the impact is not significant. Students’ political trust is mainly influenced by sense of connection,confidence, style and performance, especially sense of connection and confidence.
