| The “Horse” word family(including words containing character “Ma” and words containing “Ma” as Chinese radical) are numerous and widely used, but the sources of their meanings are extensive, complex and not easy to understand. This Paper analyzes the “Horse” family words from a cognitive perspective, and discusses the related problems of teaching Chinese to foreign language speaker, and is divided into six chapters. The first chapter outlines the present situation of the related academic research, and defines the word family, determining the scope of the study. Chapter 2 lists some words and phrases containing character “Ma” and “Ma” as Chinese radical, simply classify them into different grammatical structure and part of speech, and explain their meaning. Chapter 3 analyzes the cognitive characteristics and formation of meaning of the “Horse” family words: there are four major characteristics of physiology, behavior, social, cultural; and analyzes the formation of meaning related the four characteristics of “horse”; summarizes the cognitive mechanism of metaphor and metonymy in these words. Chapter 4 discusses the "horse" family words? basic meaning, cognitive meaning, emotional meaning and cultural meaning, summarizes five domain as the physiological, habits, state of affairs, society, culture, and three level as natural, social, and cultural level, and analyzes the relationship between the different domains and levels, establishes the semantic network of the “Horse” word family. Chapter 5 discusses the related problems of teaching Chinese to foreign language speaker, put forward the point of view of "Teaching combined with the characteristics of ?Horse? " and "Teaching combined the semantic network ". Chapter 6 is the conclusion, summarizes the full text and points out the research?s innovation and deficiency. |
