| Animation industry has become the main force of the creative industry. This is mostly the result of animation industry, whose intangible advantages in the cultural output, can provide a new thinking space for the development of the culture industry. Then, it is the primary consideration that how to convert the ever-changing culture to productivity of animation art and achieve the leap from cultural resources to the animation industry. For images acting as core key in the spread of film and television animation, symbolization becomes an inevitable trend. And those successful images in film and television animation, under the circumstances, can win the audience’s favor, due more to their symbolization: the spiritual and cultural connotations. Animation has audio-visual language symbols which is the most basic grammar symbols. Because of it, the semiotics features have gradually seeped through every stage of film and television animation’s production and development. Especially, since its beginning, the production and dissemination of images in film and television animation has been deeply marked by symbol. Whether it could be well embodied and spread or not, cultural connotation contained in the image of film and television animation has become the core of images in film and television animation making success, even has been one of the most important factors which help the spread and reflection be successful in globalization.Therefore, on the one hand, by considering the image of film and television animation as a collection of symbols in the process of communication, this paper, at the macro level, analyze the interactivity of symbolic significance and the role of function between the disseminators and the recipients and discuss the motivation of the symbolic location; on the other hand, by considering animatic language of film and television animation as the symbol coding system in the information dissemination, this paper, at the micro level, analyze the image-building of film and television animation, so as to do some exploration and cerebration on an eternal topic: the creative practice.In this paper, the first chapter introduce the importance and significance of the topic. From the aspects of connotation, characteristic and function, the second chapter outlines the symbolization of film and television animation image. Based on five elements of communication, the third chapter completely interprets the communication process of film and television animation image. From the aspects of the propagation environment, disseminator and audience, the fourth chapter analyzes the driving force of symbolic spread of film and television animation image. The fifth chapter mainly analyzes the implementation of symbolic application in the spread of film and television animation image. Based on animatic language, the sixth chapter mainly analyzes the symbolic application of film and television animation image. The seventh chapter is conclusion. In a word, effective communication can only be achieved through mastery of symbolization, culture and application of animatic language.
