Songs Of Akha People In Social Life In Xishuangbanna

Ethnomusicology put music in the cultural system which produced it, comprehended the birth and development of music under specific cultural context. Based on field work, this paper depicted and interpreted music phenomenon of Akha social in Menghai under the perspective of Ethnomusicology. This paper includes four chapters:Chapter I introduced the ethnic ascription, language and words and belief systems of Akha; Chapter II classified and conducted musical form analysis of the existing Akha traditional folk song; ChapterⅢ dissected the link among state power, social conventions, individual fate and music through writing two singers’ biography; ChapterIV introduced the development of Akha popular song, interpreted the background of the prosperous of popular song is the cultural waking up of elite class and positive construction. This article attempts to depict the panorama of the music phenomenon of Akha micro-community, in order to provide a diversified text of music culture to the academic circle.
