Objective:To study the efficacy and safety of recombinant human vascular endothelin(rhendostatin)in order to provide a basis for clinical treatment with antivascular targeting therapy in intermediate and advanced cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Methods:Clinical data of patients who received radiotherapy and chemotherapy for the first time for their intermediate and advanced cervical squamous cell carcinoma who were admitted to the affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from January 2015 to September 2017 were collected. The patients were divided into two groups for comparison: radiochemical treatment combined with rhendostatin simultaneously(rhendostatin combination group)compared with radiochemical treatment alone. The age, menopausal status, stage of cancer, curative effect and toxicity of treatments in the patients were considered in the analysis. Results: The effective rates of the rhendostatin combination group(22 cases)and the radiochemical treatment alone group(24 cases)were 90.9 and 87.5,respectively.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).The rates of complete remission(CR)of these two groups were 54.5% and 29.2% respectively.Again, there was no significant difference between these two groups.Furthermore, there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(leukopenia, neutropenia, low hemoglobin, thrombocytopenia, rectal reaction). There were no adverse reactions such as proteinuria, hypertension, and electrocardiogram changes in the two groups. Conclusion: Rhendostatin combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the window period did not increase the short-term curative effect(effective rate, clinical benefit rate, complete remission rate and toxicity)compared with the group of radiotherapy and chemotherapy alone.
