Objective: To discuss and summarize the clinical characteristics of cutaneous metastatic carcinoma, pathological type, metastasis pathway, clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis, treatment and prognosis,so as to improve the understanding of skin metastasis,to help clinicians master clinical characteristics of cutaneous metastatic carcinoma,to early diagnosis and early treatment, improve the quality of life of patients and prolong the survival time. Methods: We report a case of skin metastases originating from gastric cancer, including detailed medical history, laboratory tests, imaging examination and diagnostic basis, and combine with the related literature in recent 20 years,to review the related characteristics of cutaneous metastatic cancer.Design: Case report.Case: Patient,male,57 years old,Han nationality, peasant, born in Tongwei County,Gansu Province, hospital number: 719865.More than 1 years after gastric cancer surgery, chest, armpits and back nodules for 3 months.More than 1 years ago who were diagnosed gastric cancer and underwent subtotal gastrectomy and postoperative chemotherapy,3 months ago,his chest, armpits and back appeared multiple skin lesions, skin biopsy showed a majority of metatypic epithelial tissue with infiltrative growth under the epidermis. The cells arranged in cords and cluster structure.Deep-dyed big nucleolus were observed, and marked atypia.Diagnosis: cutaneous metastasis.Result: The patient had a clear history of malignant tumor, combined with the associated examinations, the diagnosis of cutaneous metastatic carcinoma is clear. Conclusion: With the increase of the incidence of malignant tumors, metastatic carcinoma of skin is not uncommon in clinical, and skin metastasis lesions may be the first symptoms of some visceral tumors. Therefore, for unexplained, dark red, painless mass or nonhealing ulcers,or similar primary lesions but stubborn should be paid enough attention to,especially who once diagnosed malignant tumor should be highly suspected by clinicians,to ask for detailed history, and combine with clinical features, histopathology, immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy to determine whether malignant tumor metastasis to the skin,in order to early diagnosis and early treatment,to escape diagnosis or be misdiagnosed, and to prolong the survival time of the patients as much as possible and improve the quality of life of patients.
