Background:With the development of economy and advances in science, the electronic information technology industry has become one of the fastest-growing industries, which resulting electronic waste(also known as “e-waste”)were also growing rapidly. It poses a great threat to the environment and humanity when it cannot dispose properly.China is the main site for the trans boundary movement of e-waste.If e-waste recycling is not properly handled,It will cause serious pollution to the air, water bodies and soil, especially in heavy metal pollution and persistent toxic substances, and pose a enormous threat to human health.Recently, there are a few reports on the human health of electronic waste and most of the that come from Europe and North America.gravida and children are sensitive groups and are vulnerable to e-waste and that are extremely sensitive to toxic and hazardous substances. There are little reports on the exposure of e-waste to gravida and children’s blood heavy metals and persistent toxic substances and their health effects in China. In this context, the research conduct in this context, and try to arouse the attention of the relevant government departments and the public, and reduce the harm of electronic waste to humans, especially to gravida and children. Objective: The purpose of this study is to combine methods of literature review and fact-based research.Identify the impact of e-waste on the health of gravida and children,as well as the public’s knowledge of e-waste and its influencing factors.Providing health care for gravida and children in contaminated areas, and corresponding health and environmental protection agencies to provide scientific basis for formulating policies to prevent and control e-waste pollution. Methods: The use of bibliometrics method to analyze the existing foreign reports of e-waste on the health of gravida and children. The use of systematic evaluation method to analyze the impact of electronic waste on the health of gravida and children. And through the systemicevaluation to identify the adverse effects of electronic waste on the health of gravida and children. The questionnaire survey method was used to investigate the public’s perception and attitude regarding e-waste.There also is a descriptive analysis on general data, awareness of e-waste,attitude of e-waste.Using variance analysis and linear regression to analyze the effects of different demographic factors on perception and attitude of electronic wastes. Results: Bibliometrics research results show that the current research on the impact of e-waste on the health of gravida and children is uneven in the distribution of journals, authors, and countries. The research on the field that impact of e-waste on the health of gravida and children mainly involves three research themes. The results of systematic reviews showed that the blood lead and blood cadmium levels in the exposed group of electronic waste were significantly higher than those in the control group. The hemoglobin level, red blood cell count, red blood cell volume and other favorable outcomes were lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant.Questionnaire survey results show that: single factor variance analysis of gender factors has a significant impact on cognition and there is no significant effect on attitude. There was no significant effect of age on cognition of e-waste,and there was a difference in attitude. The occupational factors have different effects on the cognition and attitude of e-waste.The academic factors had significant influence on the cognition of e-waste,and there was no significant effect on attitude. The income factors have different effects on the cognition and attitude of e-waste.The results of linear regression show that gender and academic factors have a significant effect on the cognition of e-waste.Age and occupational factors have significant effects on attitude of e-waste.Conclusions and recommendations: The research topics of the impact with e-waste on gravida and children mainly focus on the impact of environmental pollution on the disease, behavior and development of children or adolescents, maternal exposure, occupational exposure, and other effects on the disease. The areas exposed to e-waste have a higher concentration of heavy metals than the control areas and the content of persistent organic pollutants is high. The hemoglobin level, red blood cell count, lung function parameters, and thyroid hormone levels were lower than the control area. The public’s cognitive and attitude are related to gender, age, education, occupation, and income.
