Objectives To assess clinical application value of T1 mapping and T2 mapping MR imaging for assessment liver function in patients with hepatic alveolar echinococcosis(HAE).Methods T1 mapping and T2 mapping MR imaging was performed in 56 patients, average age 48±7,who was divided into two groups.20 cases of control group(10 males,10 females),and 36 cases of HAE group(17 males,19 females).HAE groups were divided into three groups according to Child-Pugh score:group A(n=14),group B(n=12),group C(n=10).T1 and T2 values were measured by Siemens workstation in residual liver parenchyma of HAE group and in liver parenchyma of control group. The variance analysis was used to compare the T1 and T2 values between the four groups. Results The T1 and T2 average values were measured as below:the control group(T1,338.9±95.6ms,T2,42.7±3.1ms);the group A(T1,393.47±158ms,T2,43.74±5.3ms);the group B(T1,351.5±84.7ms,T2,57.85±7.7ms);the group C(T1,460.9±76.0ms,T2,65.9±3.0ms).Yet,the T2 values were statistically significant differences between the control group and the group B and C(P<0.05),and between the group A and B and C(P<0.05),however,there were no statistically significant difference in T2 velues between the healthy group and the group A(P>0.05).Conclusion T2 mapping sequence may be useful for the assessment of liver function of HAE,while T1 mapping sequence still need to investigate.
