Objectives:Recent years we found that the ratio of triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(TG/HDL-C)can be considered as an effective predictor of cardiovascular(CV)events and outcomes in the general population; This study is try to explore the association of TG/HDL-C ratio and cardiovascular(CV)outcomes or all-cause mortality in peritoneal dialysis patients. Methods:In this single retrospective cohort study, the peritoneal dialysis patient was choosed in the center of the first affiliated hospital of Nanchang university from November 1,2005 to February 28,2017;they were followed until May 31,2017;The primary end point is considered as cardiovascular events, the secondary end point is all-cause death;Participants were stratified tri-sectional quantiles according to the baseline TG/HDL-C ratio:T1(low TG/HDL-C ratio group),T2(moderate TG/HDL-C ratio group),T3((high TG/HDL-C ratio group); The risk factors of CV events and outcomes was assessed by COX regression model;Model 1:adjust for age, gender;model 2:adjust for model 1 and body mass index(BMI),diabetes history, systolic blood pressure, cerebrovascular disease, residual renal function;model 3:adjust for model 2 and blood white cell, hemoglobin, platelets, parathyroid hormone, albumin, cholesterol, and apolipoprotein A1,lipid-lowering drugs. Results:A total of 993 patients with mean age of 49.8±14.6 years were enrolled, including 569 men,The median follow-up period was 26.33 months(range 1 to 138).The median of TG/HDL-C ratio was 1.111(range 0.016 to 19.426).CV events appeared in 169 people when at the end of follow-up.The survival curves and multivariable COX regression analysis found:1.Patients with higher ratio of TG/HDL-C(TG/HDL-C?1.510)was found have significantly higher risk of cardiovascular events compared with the lower ratio of TG/HDL-C(TG/HDL-C<0.833)(HR=1.775,95%CI=1.037-3.040,P=0.036).2.And female peritioneal dialysis patients with higher ratio of TG/HDL-C are at significantly higher risk of all-cause mortality relative to the group T1(HR=2.274,95%CI=1.061-4.872,P=0.035);3.The risk of all-cause mortality in male peritioneal dialysis amomg the three group have no significantly different.Conclusion:1.The ratio of TG/HDL-C was the independent risk factor for cardiovascular events in patients with peritoneal dialysis;2.The ratio of TG/HDL-C also was the independent risk factor for all-cause mortality in female patients with peritoneal dialysis;3.In elderly peritoneal dialysis patients, the high ratio of TG/HDL-C is an independent risk factor for all-cause death;...
