Objective:To investigate the prevalence and antimicrobial resistance of clinical isolates of Serratia marcescens, and provide a basis for clinical prevention and treatment of Serratia marcescens infection. Methods:Calculating total strains of Serratia marcescens isolated in a hospital in Suzhou from 2013 to 2017 and the number of strains isolated in the intensive care unit, collecting the in vitro drug susceptibility test results of this strain.Data screening analysis uses Excel software, statistical methods apply SPSS 19.0,count data using?~2 test. Results:The detection rate of Serratia marcescens in 2015,2016 and 2017 was significantly higher than in 2013 and 2014,and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Serratia marcescens was mainly distributed in the intensive care unit. The clinical isolates of Serratia marcescens are highly resistant to commonly used antimicrobial agents, only highly sensitive(drug resistance rates of<10%)for amikacin and sulfamethoxazole were achieved, tobramycin resistance rates between20%and 40%.After 2015,the resistance rate of Serratia marcescens to aztreonam, ciprofloxacin, ceftriaxone, imipenem was more than 80%and to piperacillin-sulbactam,gentamicin,ceftazidime,cefotetan,levofloxacin were between 50%and80%.Bacterial resistance rates to aztreonam,piperacillin-sulbactam,ciprofloxacin,gentamicin,ceftriaxone,ceftazidime,cefotetan,imipenem,and levofloxacin in2015,2016,2017 were significantly higher 2013 and 2014,the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:A hospital in Suzhou may be in the epidemic state of Serratia marcescens from 2015,the intensive care unit was the main distribution area of Serratia marcescens. From 2015,the rate of drug resistance of Serratia marcescens to most antibiotics had suddenly risen. In particular, the resistance to carbenicempenes represented by imipenem was evident.Measures should be actively taken to block the epidemic of the bacteria and to reduce bacterial resistance.
