| Objective:In this study,we observed the clinical efficacy,syndromes score and adverse reactions of traditional western medicine combined with traditional Chinese medicine Huatan Huoxue Decoction and herbal fumigation in the treatment of diabetic patients with phlegm turbid blood stasis,to explore the therapeutic effect of Huatan Huoxue Decoction on diabetes mellitus with phlegm turbid and blood stasis,and to make an objective research to provide the basis for the clinical efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine treatment of diabetes.Methods: This study included 60 cases of diabetes mellitus with phlegm turbid blood stasis syndrome,all from the outpatient and inpatient department of Department of Endocrinology,Hubei traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital affiliated to Hubei University of traditional Chinese Medicine.Patients after diagnosis standard,divided into control group and treatment group,treatment group 30 cases and control group 30 cases.The control group was given oral hypoglycemic drugs or insulin to control blood glucose according to the individual situation,while using diet and exercise therapy,etc.The treatment group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine Huatan Huoxue prescription and herbal fumigation treatment.Four weeks was a course of treatment,and the results were observed after 3 courses of treatment.In this study,we pay close attention to the symptom improvement in patients’ treatment,visit the records regularly,and record the statistical evaluation.Results:(1)The total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.7%,which was higher than the total effective rate of 73.3%,compared with the two groups,there were statistical differences(p<0.05),suggesting that phlegm-activating decoction combined with herbal fumigation could improve the comprehensive curative effect of the patients with diabetic phlegm-turbid blood stasis syndrome.(2)The clinical symptom scores of the two groups were compared.There were significant differences between the treatment group and the control group before and after treatment(P<0.01),which indicated that both the treatment group and the control group were effective.After 3 months of treatment,there was significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.01),and the average number of TCM syndromes in the treatment group was less than that in the control group,which indicated that the clinical symptom improvement of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group.One of the best symptoms to improve the single symptom is thirst,headache,palpitation,chest tightness,stool sticky,the improvement of the proportion of 96.7%,92%,92.6%,94.1%.The worst single symptom was obesity,and the improvement ratio was 40%.(3)Before and after treatment,both TG and LDL-C decreased and HDL-C increased.The difference between the treatment group and the control group before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.01),which indicated that the treatment group and the control group were effective.After 3 months of treatment,there was a significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.01),indicating that Huatan Huoxue Decoction Combined with herbal fumigation can significantly improve the laboratory indicators of patients with diabetes phlegm and blood stasis syndrome.(4)The body mass index of the two groups was compared,and the treatment group had significant difference before and after treatment(p<0.01).In the control group,there was no statistical difference before and after treatment.After treatment,there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group in the comparison between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating that the body mass index of the treatment group was improved before and after treatment,while the control group had no obvious improvement before and after treatment.It is suggested that the Huatan Huoxue Decoction Combined with herbal fumigation can influence the body mass index of diabetic phlegm blood stasis syndrome. |
