Objective To explore the Distribution of Syndromes andclini factors of Residual Dizziness after Successful Canalith Repositioning Maneuvers in Patients with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo.Method To collect abundant clinical samples,Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo TCM Syndrome Distribution Questionnaire has been prepared,on the basis of finished literature research、clinical observation and epidemiological investigation. We established a unique database on the foundation of the collection, then statistical methods of cluster analysis was applied to the research.ResultsIn view of the 148 samples, the proportion of female and male patients with the residual dizziness we studied in the research was about 2.3:1;The prevalent age ranges from 51-70 years old,and 50-60 years old were extremely obvious; The incidence of mental workers was higher than that of manual workers; The relevance of this disease and the habits of smoking or drinking is not clear now.In terms of patients’ history of diseases, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, cerebral arteriosclerosis, cerebral infarction, coronary heart disease and atrial fibrillation were closely related to this disease.Common symptoms of heavy head, poor appetite, inadvertent diet, bloating, sleepiness, tight chest, stool sticky,Mongolian head wrapped, restless sleep, nausea, headache, deteriorate with depression, irritable heat, dry throat,top-heavy,blurred vision, night sweats, tinnitus, dry mouth, irritable, swelling eyes, mouth bitter, sudden tinnitus, constipation, shortness of breath, white lip, dazzled, fatigue, deteriorate with tiredness, pale complexion,self-sweating,forgetful,mussel nails, insomnia, numbness, stinging pain with head, palpitation, pooh, dull complexion, purple lip, deteriorate with wind or cold, pain in back, fatigue in spirit, fear of cold, backache, cold urine, extremely pale complexion, pale and large tongue, pale tongue, pink tongue, tongue with crack, red tongue, quick pulse, thin pulse, weak pulse, tight pulse, mellow pulse, moisten pulse, hard astringent pulse, among with dizziness, were the main symptoms of Residual Dizziness after Successful Canalith Repositioning Maneuvers in Patients with BPPV.The age and longer symptom duration before successful repostion were associated with an increased risk of residual dizzinesss. In respect of all 148 samples, there is no diffrerence of DHI betwwen the diffrerent syndromes, but that of Syndrome of phlegm-dampness due to Spleen deficiency is obvious among others. Conclusion 1.148 patients of this research can be divided into five groups:Syndrome of phlegm-dampness due to Spleen deficiency、Syndrome of Liver and Kidney Yin deficiency,as well as Liver Yang hyperactivity、Syndrome of Qi and Blooddeficiency 、Syndrome of Blood stasis due to Qi deficiency、Syndrome of Spleen and Kidney Yang deficiency. The main visceral lesions involve Spleen,Liver,Kidney as a result of Phlegm-dampness、Yin-deficiency、Liver Yang hyperactivity、Qi-deficiency、Blood-deficiency、Congestion、Yang-deficiency.2.The early recognition、diagonosis and successful repositioning can reduce the incidence of residual dizziness.3.The relationship between DHIs and different Syndromes remained to be further studied.4.Multi-center and large-sample researches are needed, take the disadvantages into consideration that the overall sampleswerenot abundant enough and they all came from only one hospital, what’s more, the statistical method was still inadequate.
