Clinical Research Of Electroacupuncture Combined With Coordinating Yin-Yang Moxibustion For The Treatment Of Simple Obesity Of Spleen Deficiency And Dampnes Stagnation

ObjectiveThe main purpose is to analyze the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion therapy for the treatment of simple obesity with spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation.The secondary purpose is to compared with traditional electroacupuncture therapy,discussing the clinical superiority of electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion in the treatment of simple obesity with spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation,providing new methods and new ideas for the treatment of this disease.MethodsThis study selects 70 simple obesity patients with spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation who were hospitalized in acupuncture and moxibustion clinic of Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from january 2016 to december 2017 as the subjects of this study.They were randomly divided into electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group and traditional electroacupuncture group according to the random number table method.The traditional electroacupuncture group received electroacupuncture therapy.The acupoints were Zhongwan,Shuifen,Huaroumen(double),Tianshu(double),Daheng(double),Daimai(double),Qihai(double),Fujie(double),Zusanli(Double),Fenglong(double),Sanyinjiao(double),Yinlingquan(double),Gongsun(double).After getting the Qi of acupuncture,adding electroacupuncture on bilateral Tianshu and Daheng.Each time the needle was retained for 30 minutes,the treatment was performed every other day,and 15 times was a course of treatment.The patients were treated with a total of 2 courses.The electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group used coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion therapy on the basis of treatment in the traditional electroacupuncture group.The specific methods were: Each time the electroacupuncture was applied,the herbal cake-separated moxibustion was used in Guanyuan and Shenque which are in abdomen;After the electroacupuncture treatment was finished,the herbal cake-separated moxibustion was used at Pishu(double),Shenshu(double)and Mingmen which are in back.The time of herbal cake-separated moxibustion at abdomen and back were 30 minutes each time and once every other day.The treatment course of the electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group was the same as that of the traditional electroacupuncture group.The obesity related indicators(such as body weight,body mass index,waist circumference,etc.),spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation score,and IWQOL-Lite score of patients before and after treatment should be recorded.Statistical analysis was used to statistically analyze relevant indicators and evaluate the efficacy and safety of electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion therapy for this disease.Results1.Dropout: During the treatment period,there was one dropout subject in the electroacupuncture plus coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group and there were three dropout subjects in the traditional electroacupuncture group.In the final,there were 34 subjects of the electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group completed the treatment,and in the traditional electroacupuncture group,32 subjects completed the treatment.2.Comparison of changes in waist circumference before and after treatment between the two groups: The waist circumference after treatment in the electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group as well as the traditional electroacupuncture group were both significantly lower than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.01);between groups,there was a difference in waist circumference after treatment between the two groups(P<0.05),the waist circumference of the electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group decreased more significantly.3.Comparison of weight changes between the two groups before and after treatment: The weights of the two groups after treatment were both reduced to different degrees compared with those before treatment,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.01);between the groups,the weight loss of the electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group was significantly lower than that of the traditional electroacupuncture group.(P<0.05).4.Comparison of changes in BMI between the two groups before and after treatment: The BMI of the two groups after treatment both decreased to varying degrees compared with that before treatment(all P<0.01);between groups,the BMI in the electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group decreased more significantly(P<0.05).5.Comparison of hip circumference changes between the two groups before and after treatment: hip circumference after treatment decreased to a different extent than that before treatment in both groups,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05);between the groups,the hip circumference of the electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group was significantly lower than that of the traditional electroacupuncture group(P<0.05).6.Comparison of F% changes between the two groups before and after treatment: F% after treatment decreased to a different extent than that before treatment in both groups,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.01);between groups,the F% in the electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group decreased more significantly(P<0.05).7.Comparison of spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation score changes between the two groups before and after treatment: spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation score after treatment decreased than that before treatment in both groups,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.01);between groups,the difference in the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation after the treatment between the two groups was statistically significant,with the decrease of spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation in the electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group more significant(P<0.05).8.Comparison of IWQOL-Lite scores between the two groups before and after treatment: Comparing within groups,the total IWQOL-Lite scores,body function scores,and self-esteem scores after treatment were reduced to different degrees before treatment in both groups.The differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05);Sex life scores in the electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group decreased significantly after treatment(P<0.01),but there was no significant difference before and after the treatment in the traditional electroacupuncture group(P>0.05);The public pressure scores and the work score after treatment in both groups were lower than those before the treatment,but the differences were not significant(P>0.05).Comparing between groups,the total IWQOL-Lite scores,body function scores,self-esteem scores,and sex life scores were statistically different between the two groups after treatment(all P<0.05);There was no significant difference in the public pressure scores and work scores of two groups after the treatment(all P>0.05).9.After careful propaganda and strict operation,there were no major adverse events during the experiment.During treatment,two scald events occurred Guanyuan in abdominal in the electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion group(local redness appeared and patients complained of mild pain),and it recoveried after the treatment with scald ointment of 2-3 days.One case was small hematoma after electroacupuncture treatment,and it absorbed on the day after routine treatment.There were also two small hematoma events in the traditional electroacupuncture group.The hematoma disappeared on the day after routine treatment.ConclusionThe use of electroacupuncture combined with coordinating Yin-Yang moxibustion for the treatment of simple obesity with spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation can play a role in the overall regulation of the patients.It not only has a prominent effect of weight reduction,lipid-lowering and shaping,but also can improve the patient's habitus and life quality.Compared with traditional electroacupuncture therapy,the clinical efficacy of it is more significant and it is worthy of further clinical promotion.
