ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of calcium phosphate biomaterials on bone tissue healing after bone defect implantation.MethodsAccording to the random principle,the New Zealand white rabbits were divided into three groups:Blank group(n=10),material group(n=10)and autogenous bone group(n=10).A 1.5cm bone defect model were established in the mid-segment of the rabbit radius.The X-ray method was used to detect the healing of the bone tissue at different times(4w,8w,12w).The Lane and Sandhu scoring system was used to evaluate the prognosis of bone tissue.The rabbit ear venous blood was collected to detect the contents of ALP.HE staining method were used to observe the healing of bone tissue in each group.The percentage of the bone tissue area in bone was measured by Image-Pro Plus6.0 analysis software.ResultsX-ray examination of the defect area showed that the shadow density of the calcium phosphate group and the autogenous bone graft group was higher than that of the blank control group.The Lane and Sandhu scores were shown that the scores of both experimental groups were higher than those of the blankcontrol group at the 2 week and 8 week(P<0.05),the ALP results suggested that the two experimental groups were higher than the blank control group at the4 week(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference at other time points(P>0.05),indicating that the osteoblasts were the most active at 4 weeks after surgery.The results of HE staining showed that the bone tissue of each group was repaired to a certain degree at the 4 and 8 weeks.In the 8 week of the calcium phosphate group,the structure of the bone tissue was intacted and had basically returned to normal.The area of new bone tissue was calculated.The bone formation of the two experimental groups at different time points was higher than that of the blank control group.ConclusionsCalcium phosphate bio-ceramic can promote bone growth after long-term bone defect through its own biological properties,and that will help to promote the recovery of motor function.
