Objectives: To examine the expression of these factors including PCNA,Cyclin D1,FGFR3 and FOXN1 in seborrheic keratosis,and to evaluate the level of proliferation and apoptosis.To explore the benign proliferation of seborrheic keratosis cells and find new ideas for the prevention and treatment of seborrheic keratosis.Methods: i)The skin tissues were resected from patients who were diagnosed seborrheic keratosis in outpatient department.The experimental group included 120 cases of seborrheic keratosis diagnosed by pathology,and the control group had 20 cases of normal skin tissue around the surgically removed lesions;ii)Histopathological classification was performed according to HE staining;iii)The expression of such four factors as FGFR3 FOXN1,PCNA and Cyclin D1 in two groups of slices was detected with immunohistochemical techniques;iv)The cases group according to family history,exposure and smoking history,compared the expressions of FGFR3,FOXN1,PCNA and Cyclin D1 under different conditions;v)The experimental results were finally collected and analyzed with statistical analysis.Results: i)The expression of the four factors including FGFR3,FOXN1,PCNA and Cyclin D1 in seborrheic keratosis tissues is higher than that of normal tissue,while the values of p are less than 0.01 for FGFR3 and FOXN1 with statistical significance,respectively and greater than 0.05 for PCNA and Cyclin D1 without statistical significance.ii)The correlation coefficients of the IODs of both FGFR3-FOXN1 and PCNA-Cyclin D1 are 0.657 and 0.574,respectively,illustrating that two of them have a positive correlation.iii)The expression of FGFR3 and FOXN1 in family history cases is higher than that of non-family history cases(p<0.05).iv)the FGFR3,FOXN1 and PCNA of the seborrheic keratosis at the exposed site were higher than those of the less exposed parts and non-exposed parts(p<0.05).v)The IODs of PCNA and Cyclin D1 in cases with smoking history are higher than that of the cases without smoking history(p<0.05).Conclusions: i)The slight higher expression of FGFR3 and FOXN1 in seborrheic keratosis,and the positive correlation between FGFR3 and FOXN1;ii)the expression of PCNA and Cyclin D1 in seborrheic keratosis was not significantly higher than that in normal tissues.iii)There are important causes of the onset of seborrheic keratosis by family history and sun exposure.
