The Study Of Healers On Learning And Promotion Of Officials In The Tang Dynasty

As professionals with knowledge of medicine,disease prevention and treatment,doctors are a specific group in social life.The main body of this article is the Tang Dynasty official medical personnel group,and I will analyze and study these medical personnel in the historical and cultural background and the medical development of Tang Dynasty,from their decision to engage in medical work,to finally becoming the official medical personnel as well as their experience during the professional life.That is to say this paper makes a detailed study on the learning process and the political promotion of medical personnel in the Tang Dynasty.This article is divided into three parts to discuss the learning process and political promotion of the medical practitioners in the Tang Dynasty.The first part is the learning process of the doctors in the Tang Dynasty.It includes two aspects: Firstly,the paper analyzes and explores the reasons of studying medicine in Tang Dynasty from the background of medical development and the rulers' high attention to medicine;Secondly,the paper discusses the medical education system from the central to the local level,from the aspects of medical students 'selection,study content,academic system and examination.The second part discusses the political promotion of medical personnel in the Tang Dynasty.It includes two aspects: Firstly,the medical personnel's selection of the target institutions,including the central medical department,the pharmacy Bureau,the medicine bureau and the local medical institutions;Secondly,the Tang Dynasty medical career path is divided into two kinds,namely examinations and no examinations.In general,the medical students with official medical education are required to pass a medical examination in the Shangshu Province.In addition,some people who are highly skilled in medicine can have the opportunity to pass a recommended examination in the Shangshu Province.A special type of medical personnel-Medical Daizhao appears in the Tang Dynasty,they are called the medical officer of Han Lin during the middle and late Tang Dynasty,such medical personnel can be ordered by the emperor to become medical officers without examination because of their medical skills.In the early Tang Dynasty,the emperor also calls up the famous folk doctors directly,only with an imperial edict to enter the official.Finally,the paper makes a comparative analysis of the two ways of promotion from three aspects.The third part discusses the examination class and the transfer of the official position in Tang Dynasty.The medical personnel enter the official system after they become medical officers,namely they formally start an official career in the Tang Dynasty.Because the main basis for the promotion of officials is the judgment of the exam,the Tang Dynasty pays high attention to the officials' examination.Under the background of the examination system in Tang Dynasty,this paper makes a deep investigation into the medical officer's examination,as well as analyzing and summarizing the transfer law of medical officials in the Tang Dynasty,including the transfer within the medical officer system,and the transfer between the non-medical officer system and the medical officer system.This article studies and connects the Tang Dynasty doctors' learning process of medicine,with the becoming of medical officer,and their position transfer,forming the whole process of the Tang Dynasty medical personnel's political progress,which can make people understand clearly the Tang Dynasty medical personnel's growth experience.
