Objective: Two methods of iRoot SP with single-cone obturation technique and AH-Plus with warm gutta percha vertical condensation technique were used to treat chronic periapical periodontitis.Observe the clinical therapeutic effect, provide the basis for the application of iRoot SP with single-cone obturation technique.Method:Select 86 cases of teeth with chronic periapical periodontitis which need root canal therapy.Randomly divided into two groups according to the patient's order. The experimental group use the iRoot SP with single-cone obturation technique and the control group use the AH-Plus with warm gutta percha vertical condensation technique. The two groups used the same root canal preparation equipment and irrigation drugs. Two groups of teeth were tracked for 6 months, and the prognosis of the two groups was recorded.Statistical analysis was performed according to the evaluation criteria of root canal treatment, and chi-square test was conducted for the data obtained from the experimental records. Results:There were 43 patients in the experimental group,43 of them returned in 6 months, and 40 cases were evaluated as successful treatment. The number of cases of treatment failure was 3,and the success rate was 93%.In the control group, there were 43 patients with a total of 43 patients, and 43 were returned after 6 months. The evaluation was 38 cases of successful treatment, and 5 cases were evaluated as treatment failure, and the success rate was 88%.Chi square test analysis showed that the difference between the experimental group and the control group was P>0.05,the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant. Conclusion: iRoot SP with single-cone obturation technique and AH-Plus with warm gutta percha vertical condensation technique for the treatment of chronic periarthritis of tooth root effect has no obvious difference. However,iRoot SP with single-cone obturation technique requires less equipment and less filling time, which is worthy of clinical application.
