Survival Analysis Of 130 Patients With Lung Cancer

Objective To examine the prognostic values of obesity,including body mass index(BMI),waist circumference(WC)and waist-to-hip ratio(WHR),and the inflammation parameters,including the Glasgow Prognostic Score(GPS),neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR),on the survival time of patients with lung cancer.Methods The clinical and following up data of 130 patients with lung cancer who treated at the Second Affiliated Hospital of SoochowUniversity from Jan 2016 to Jun 2016 were collected and a multivariate analysis was performed by Cox proportion hazard model to explore the influence of BMI,WC,WHR,GPS,NLR and PLR on the survival time of lung cancer.Results The results of multivariate analysis showed that BMI,WC,NLR and PLR had statistics relationship with survival time(P<0.05).BMI: In comparison with under-weight group(BMI<18.5),the HR of normal-weight group(18.5?BMI<24)was 0.0538(95%CI:0.203-0.830,P=0.024),the HR of over-weight group(BMI?24)was 0.119(95%CI:0.203-0.627,P=0.012).WC: In comparison with normal group(WC<85cm(male)/80cm(female)),the HR of the obese group(WC?85cm(male)/80cm(female))was0.313(95%CI:0.113-0.867,P=0.025).WHR : In comparison with the normal group(WC<0.9(male)/0.85(female)),the HR of the obese group(WHR?0.9(male)/0.85(female))was 0.673(95%CI:0.283-1.597,P=0.369).GPS:In comparison with the group of GPS=0(CRP?10mg/L and serum albumin?35g/L),the HR of the group of GPS=1(CRP>10mg/L and serum albumin?35g/L or CRP?10mg/L and serum albumin<35g/L)was 2.133(95%CI:0.952-4.780,P=0.066),the HR of the group of GPS=2(CRP>10mg/L and serum albumin ?35g/L)was 2.184(95%CI:0.868-5.496,P=0.097).NLR:In comparison with the group of NLR<5,the HR of the group of NLR?5was 3.425(95%CI:1.630-7.199,P=0.001).PLR:In comparison of the group of PLR<150,the HR of the group of 150?PLR<300 was 3.443(95%CI:1.442-8.219,P=0.005),the HR of the group of PLR?300 was 3.040(95%CI:1.067-8.663,P=0.037).Conclusion BMI and WC were independent protective prognostic factors for lung cancer.NLR and PLR were independent dangerous prognostic factors for lung cancer.WHR and GPS were not the prognostic factors for lung cancer.
